By accessing or using Calva, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the platform.

2. Description of Services

Calva provides a platform where:

• Users can list rental properties for others to view.
• Users can search for and view listed rentals.
• Users can directly contact property owners.

Note: Calva does not charge any fees for the first rental listing, viewings, or contact property owners directly. Fees only apply when you upgrade to a Premium membership to access additional features, get verified owner badge, get owner rental verified and many more.

3. User Responsibilities

By using the platform, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account, listing a property, or contacting an owner.
• Use the platform responsibly and only for lawful purposes.
• Respect the privacy and personal information of other users.

Prohibited Actions:

• Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Using the platform for illegal activities.
• Spamming, harassing, or abusing other users.

4. Listing Requirements

If you list a property, you must:

• Ensure the property details are accurate, including photos, location, and amenities.
• Be the legal owner or have authorization to list the property.
• Respond promptly to inquiries.

Calva reserves the right to remove listings that violate these terms.

5. Contacting Owners

When contacting property owners through the app, you agree to:

• Be respectful and professional in communication.
• Use the provided contact information only for rental-related purposes.

6. No Payments or Transactions

Calva does not process payments or facilitate transactions between users. Any financial agreements or payments are handled directly between the user and the property owner. Calva is not responsible for disputes, refunds, or financial losses.

7. Content Ownership and License

You retain ownership of the content (e.g., listings, photos) you upload. By posting on Calva, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your content on our platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

Calva is a platform for connecting users and property owners. We do not:

• Guarantee the accuracy of listings or user information.
• Verify the identity of users or property owners.
• Mediate disputes between users.

Calva is not liable for damages, losses, or disputes arising from your use of the platform.

9. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including but not limited to:

• Posting fraudulent or illegal content.
• Harassing or abusing other users.
• Misusing the platform.

10. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes must be resolved in Kenyan courts.
